About this role

Head of Public Policy, Taiwan Taipei, Taiwan Meta deploys technologies that support connections, communities, and economic growth. We are seeking a Head of Public Policy to lead policy strategy and stakeholder engagement in Taiwan. This role will be responsible for developing and executing policy initiatives that align with Meta's global and regional objectives, while building relationships with government officials, industry partners, and civil society in Taiwan. Responsibilities: - Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute public policy strategies for Taiwan, ensuring alignment with Meta's global and regional objectives. Advise APAC Policy leadership and Meta management on policy developments and their implications for products, services, and business operations - Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, regulators, industry associations, and civil society. Collaborate with partners to organize external policy activities such as campaigns, seminars, conferences, and exhibitions - Advocacy: Shape and advocate for Meta's positions on critical policy issues including artificial intelligence (AI), data privacy, data governance, digital economy, content regulation, and online safety. Identify policy opportunities and facilitate high-level meetings between Meta executives and key stakeholders - Analysis & Strategic Guidance: Analyze legislative and regulatory proposals to assess potential impacts on Meta's business and propose strategic solutions. Monitor regulatory trends and emerging issues in Taiwan to anticipate stakeholder reactions and provide strategic guidance to internal teams Minimum qualifications: - 15+ years of professional experience in public policy, regulatory affairs, law, government, technology, or related fields - Proven success engaging with the Taiwanese government, with understanding of Taiwan's
