This position ensures that the Asphalt and Paving division operates at peak efficiency by minimizing equipment downtime through rigorous preventive maintenance and rapid response corrective repairs. The ideal candidate is a skilled technician who balances technical expertise with a 'Safety First' mindset, ensuring all equipment meets manufacturer specifications and OSHA safety standards. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Utilize advanced computer diagnostic software and precision measuring tools to identify malfunctions in engines (diesel and gasoline), transmissions, and electronic control systems. Perform complex repairs and overhauls on hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical circuits, and power train components. Service and repair specialized asphalt machinery including pavers, rollers (smooth drum and pneumatic), material transfer vehicles (shuttles), and loaders. Dismantle and reassemble equipment to replace worn or damaged parts such as bearings, gearboxes, conveyor belts, and hydraulic cylinders. Execute scheduled PM services including oil and filter changes, lubrication, and comprehensive system inspections to prevent mechanical failure.
