This position ensures that all concrete mixers, tractors, and heavy machinery (such as loaders and trailers) are maintained to the highest safety and performance standards. The goal is to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency through a combination of rigorous preventative maintenance and rapid-response corrective repairs in both shop and field environments. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Utilize advanced computer diagnostic software and precision measuring tools to troubleshoot complex engines, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Diagnose and repair specialized Ready-Mix equipment, including hydraulic mixer drums, discharge chutes, and computerized batch-control sensors. Conduct thorough inspections and repairs on truck air brake systems and steering/suspension components in strict accordance with DOT and company regulations. Execute routine PM services (oil changes, filter replacements, greasing) on a fleet of Ready-Mix trucks and support equipment. Cleans, lubricates, and performs preventative maintenance work on equipment and vehicles Troubleshoots and rewires electrical systems Dismantles and reassembles heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools, as needed. Overhauls and tests machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify potential wear or damage before they lead to mechanical failure.
