This position offers the opportunity to work with your hands and get outdoors. Candidates with experience are preferred, but if you are willing to learn, we are willing to teach! This position is seasonal. We are looking for candidates that will be based out of Stillwater, with support to various metro asphalt plants as needed. Essential Functions Sampling and testing of Asphalt mixtures as well as aggregate products. Analyzing test data and record and report results. Calibrate, clean, and maintain production tools and testing equipment. Understanding the process of keeping materials in specification. Communicating with production staff and direct supervisor. Competencies Safety Acumen Communication Motivation Critical Thinking Analytical Skills Problem-Solving Teamwork Work Environment This position operates 80% of the time in a laboratory environment, 20% outdoors. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to feel, or handle objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.
