About this role

Senior Technical Writer Toronto, Canada; Vancouver, Canada As Marqeta's Senior Technical Writer , you will shape how developers build on our platform by creating and scaling documentation for APIs, SDKs, and platform experiences. Our documentation is a core product surface and often the first interface that developers encounter, so it must clearly reflect the system's actual behavior. This role goes beyond writing. You will improve how documentation is structured, generated, and maintained at scale using tooling, automation, and AI, while driving clarity, usability, and self-serve integration. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Design as part of a collaborative team that treats documentation as a critical part of the developer experience. We work Flexible First . This role can be performed remotely anywhere within Ontario or British Columbia, Canada. We'd love for you to join us! This position is not for an existing vacancy. The Impact You'll Have - Create clear API and SDK documentation that enables fast, successful integration. - Ensure accuracy with real request and response examples grounded in system behavior. - Partner with Engineering and Product to validate APIs and maintain code-to-doc alignment. - Improve discoverability and self-serve onboarding by treating documentation as a product. - Use docs-as-code and AI-driven tooling to improve accuracy and reduce drift. - Apply AI and automation to scale content creation and updates - Identify gaps through customer feedback and drive continuous improvement - Align cross-functionally on documentation priorities and standards Who You Are - 5+ years writing for developer audiences,
