Sr. Mechanical Engineer Canonsburg, PA, US Position Description At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the DPC Starline Team in Canonsburg, PA . The Senior Mechanical Engineer provides leadership in the design, development, and validation of new products. Works under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment. What Will You Do? Main Job Duties: Create innovative, customizable power distribution and monitoring solutions that provides value to.our partners across all markets Use a systematic, analytically-based approach to concepting, designing, and testing. Collaborate with the engineering team tasked with the commercialization and launch of Legrand designed products. Perform advanced mechanical engineering design tasks and provide feedback in support of customer specific customizations of Legrand products. Assist in directing the testing required, verifying product performance, system integration, and compliance with applicable standards. Partner with Production, Quality, and Purchasing staff to assure product manufacturability. Create mentoring relationships with other Engineers Review the work of others, including Drafters and Engineers. Collaboration with certification laboratories such as UL and Intertek as well as various international agencies. Provide lab testing support.
