SENIOR BUYER - SURFACE MATERIALS SOUTHFIELD, MI WORLD HEADQUARTERS Senior Buyer is responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. Ensures cost effective procurement and delivery of material and service to support plant and customer requirements. The Role: Your work will include, but not be limited to: Direct commodity buying responsibility Work experience and judgment required to plan and accomplish strategic goals Negotiates long term agreements and yearly savings in line with expectations Develops commodity strategies to achieve results Understanding of commercial terms and total cost management concepts required Advantages of working at Lear in the Purchasing group: Cross functional interaction and ability
