Engineering Product Leader (EPL) - VALLS Job Location (country) Spain Core responsibilities: Reporting to BMW Project Chief Engineer, main objectives are: • Developing and delivering cost competitive designs on time, budget, quality target, meeting the customer requirements (Flawless Product Development and Launch). • Leading the Project Engineering for Projects on Awarded Products (Core electronics) through development, launch and current production. The position is responsible for: • The Engineering Product Manager works on the scaled level and will interface with the customer and set the product roadmap. They work with the discipline leaders set that roadmap. Moreover, they are the first point of contact to plan changes. • Engineering customer interface. • Project Engineering budget, forecast and expense control (resources, expenses and CAPEX) • Organizing and leading engineering teams worldwide (HW, SW, Systems, Electromech., Safety, Cybersecurity ,Testing, …) according to development needs, assuring engineering deliverables and execution. • Leading and follow-up eng. meetings, internally (Lear) and externally (Customer). • Leading, control and execution of Engineering Open issues list. • Leading BOM and having visibility over component costs, to support achievement of product competitiveness targets / CTO roadmaps / material cost / MTS / Design to cost… • Leading technical evaluation of product changes (ECR, PCR, DFC, DFM…). • Managing engineering risk that could affect project milestones. • Actively participation on eng. process improveme
