Attorney Advisor Washington, District of Columbia Summary The Attorney Advisor position is in the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, Department of Program Services, Court Services Office (CSO), Court Policy Division. CSO's Court Policy Division provides primary staff support for the Judicial Conference Committee on Court Administration and Case Management (CACM). The Attorney Advisor supports multiple CACM subcommittees and CACM judge members assigned to other Committees, Councils, and working groups. Duties The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO) is seeking an experienced Attorney Advisor to join its Department of Program Services, Court Services Office (CSO), Court Policy Division. CSO's Court Policy Division provides primary staff support for the Judicial Conference Committee on Court Administration and Case Management (CACM or Committee). CACM is a committee of general jurisdiction that plays a role in most multicommittee initiatives handled by the judiciary. The CACM Committee and its staff regularly coordinate with a number of other committees, the Federal Judicial Center, and at times Executive Branch agencies, on issues vital to the judiciary. The Committee also takes the lead on handling issues with cross-cutting impact and political implications. This position reports to the Court Policy Division Chief. The incumbent must possess the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with executives, judges, court staff, members of Congress, congressional staff, and the public.
