Power Electronics Manufacturing Engineer San Carlos, CA, US Overview Joby Aviation is seeking a passionate Power Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to join our Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Engineering Team in San Carlos, CA. The Power Electronics Manufacturing Engineer will​ participate in new product introduction and ramp-up of Joby aircraft powertrains through the implementation of manufacturing equipment and new processes, and working closely with cross-functional teams. This individual must be organized and self-driven, with an understanding of manufacturing scale-up, mechanical & electrical fundamentals, equipment, and quality systems. This position is exciting and rewarding, as the Power Electronics Manufacturing Engineer will see their ideas influence many key areas at Joby Aviation due to the fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Partner with Design Engineering to develop and implement manufacturing processes for the product development phase. Design, build, and implement equipment and processes for the assembly, test, and validation of hardware from the prototype stage through volume production. Participate in design reviews during all phases of product development. Drive cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing quality, throughput, and ergonomics. Lead the equipment selection and procurement process for advanced manufacturing technologies. Author and release manufacturing instructions and process documentation to ensure flawless builds.
