Mechanical Engineering Intern (Summer 2026) West Hartford, CT, US Position Description At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Intern to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Team in West Hartford, CT. In this role, the Engineering Intern will be responsible for assisting the Product Development Team in simple product designs through CAD modeling and drawing documentation. Functions include working with Design Engineers and Engineering Managers on assignments that support testing of products, maintenance of products, customer related issues and general product engineering challenges. Main Job Duties: Modeling and documenting design elements for engineering solutions Creating testing environments for products, conducting the tests and documenting results Reviewing product standards and updating as required Working on manufacturing floor to solve design related issues Physical & Mental Demands: The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by employees to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
