About this role
Securities Financing Specialist London, England, United Kingdom About the Position We are looking for a financing professional to support and develop Jane Street's EMEA financing capabilities across multiple asset classes. To thrive in this role, you'll need prior experience developing financing solutions at a bank or buy-side firm and strong relationships with prime brokers and counterparties across the spectrum of equity, ETF and corporate credit financing products. This role is entrepreneurial-it offers the opportunity to shape and execute financing decisions and help develop the firm's long-term financing strategy. In doing so, you can expect to work with a broad range of internal teams to understand and manage the various constraints of a quantitative trading firm. Additional responsibilities will include: - Managing and negotiating our financing transactions on a day-to-day basis across various products - Maintaining and developing relationships with prime brokers and other external financing counterparties - Optimising our financing footprint across counterparties, products and structures: identifying inefficiencies, reducing costs and improving terms across the book - Helping to form our long-term financing strategy by improving and expanding our current activity - Understanding our firmwide financing constraints and comparing financing opportunities using in-depth cost-benefit analysis - Helping to build and improve the infrastructure that supports our financing initiatives About You - Have 3-5 years of relevant financing experience at a buy-side firm or bank - Have a strong understanding of EMEA financing and stock loan markets; having experience across multiple asset classes (e.g., equities, corporate bonds, ETFs) and financing structures
