About this role
Financing Specialist Hong Kong, Hong Kong About the Position We are looking for a financing professional to support and develop Jane Street's APAC financing capabilities across multiple asset classes. To thrive in this role, you'll need prior experience developing financing solutions at a bank, broker-dealer or buy-side firm and strong relationships with prime brokers and counterparties across the spectrum of APAC markets and financing structures. This role is entrepreneurial-it offers the opportunity to collaborate on immediate trading decisions and develop the firm's longer-term financing strategy. In doing so, you can expect to work with a broad range of internal teams to understand and manage the various constraints of a quantitative trading firm. Additional responsibilities of the role will include: - Optimising our financing capacity: improving access to inventory, identifying inefficiencies in our workflows, reducing costs - Collaborating across our trading desks to collaborate on real-time and strategic trading decisions - Maintaining and developing relationships with prime brokers and other external financing counterparties - Helping to form our longer-term financing strategy by improving and expanding our financing activity - Understanding our firmwide financing constraints and comparing financing opportunities using in-depth cost-benefit analysis - Application of technical skills to contribute to building and improving infrastructure supporting our financing workflows and initiatives About You - Have 3-7 years of related securities financing experience at a bank or buy-side firm - Have a strong understanding of Asian market microstructure and mechanics, financing and stock loan markets; having experience across multiple asset classes and financing
