About this role
Mainframe Developer General Description Solid experience in Mainframe environments, with in-depth knowledge of key technologies such as COBOL, JCL, and DB2. The selected candidate will be responsible for the programming, development, and maintenance of regulatory processes within the payments area of a Financial Institution and optimizing Batch processes. We value the ability to adapt to agile frameworks and possess excellent communication skills. Project Responsibilities and Activities - Mainframe Programming and Development: Design, develop, and maintain applications and systems in a Mainframe environment, ensuring code quality and efficiency. - Batch Processes and File Management: Develop and manage complex Batch processes, including data file administration and optimization. - Version Control and Schedulers: Utilize version control tools like Endeavor and schedulers like TWS for process programming and management. - Online Programming: Apply knowledge of online programming for the development of transactions and services. - Collaboration and Communication: Actively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining fluid communication. - Problem Solving: Identify and efficiently and proactively resolve complex technical issues. Mandatory Technologies and Skills - Demonstrable experience with DB2. - Proficiency in JCL. - Extensive experience in Mainframe Development. - Practical knowledge and experience in Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence, SAFe). - Mastery of COBOL Systems. - Experience with IBM CICS. - Experience with Control-M. - Proficiency in Endeavor as a version control system. - Experience with the TWS tool for Batch process programming. - Knowledge and handling of TSO.
