About this role
AWS Solutions Architect (Top Secret cleared) Washington, DC Role Overview We are seeking a senior-level Solutions Architect to lead the end-to-end architecture and delivery of a new solution build supporting Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) programs. This role will own the technical vision, system design, and implementation strategy from initial concept through deployment and sustainment. The ideal candidate brings deep experience architecting scalable, secure AWS-based applications, strong Java development expertise, and a proven track record leading complex federal system builds. Key Responsibilities Own and lead the full solution architecture for a new system build across design, development, integration, and deployment Define technical architecture, frameworks, and standards aligned with DCSA, DoD, and federal security requirements Translate mission and business requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions Serve as the technical authority across the program, guiding engineering teams and system integrators Design and implement cloud-native architectures using AWS services Oversee Java-based application architecture and development patterns Ensure system compliance with NIST, RMF, and DoD cybersecurity standards Collaborate closely with program managers, cybersecurity, DevOps, and stakeholders across government and contractor teams Support system modernization, performance optimization, and long-term sustainment strategies Contribute to technical documentation, solution roadmaps, and architecture reviews Required Qualifications Active Top Secret clearance, with SCI eligibility 10+ years of experience in software engineering, systems architecture, or solution architecture At least 2+ years of supporting federal or DoD programs, preferably DCSA Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in related field Prior experience supporting DCSA or similar national security programs Strong hands-on experience with AWS
