About this role
Tooling Technician Carson, CA Job Overview The Tooling Technician is responsible for assembling, cleaning, servicing, testing, and repairing rental tools. Tooling consists of electrical/hydraulic pump, hydraulic press, and our patented swage tool. Technicians will be working directly with these tools and using other hand and power tools to assemble and maintain. Clerical work and minor shipping functions are also required. Pay rate: $19.50-$26.33/hour DOE. A Day In The Life Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. Responsibilities: 80% of time will be spent assembling tools, cleaning, maintaining, and repairing tools for rentals/service. 20% of time will be spent on clerical functions which include entering data, communicating to rental department and shipping for equipment movements. Rental Tools require inspecting, disassembly, cleaning, repairing, assembly, testing, and shipping tools. MS products used. Other duties will be assigned as needed, including training, physical inventory, production, and engineering assistance. Work Environment: Manufacturing floor / warehouse We are an ISO certified company. Intermittent periods of physical exertion such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward. Environment with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery and loud noise. Minimal direct customer interaction What will help you thrive in this role?
