Senior Test Engineer - Boonton, NJ Boonton, NJ Job Overview This position involves being a part of Engineering team that develops complex embedded hardware products in the area of Teleprotection and communications for the electric utility market. The individual in this position should be able to perform system-level testing, verification and validation testing on complex industrial products which are heavy on Networking and Ethernet Technologies. Examples- Teleprotection equipment, Packet-based Multiplexers, Substation automation equipment, Distribution automation equipment etc. The position will include testing of new software/firmware builds, hardware modules, conceiving and executing test cases, performing root cause analysis, troubleshooting of bugs/issues. The individual in this position must be able to participate in a deep level technical conversation about product testing and must be comfortable working in a lab environment for extended hours. This position is for an engineer who enjoys working on all aspects of launching new products, works with a sense of urgency and aspires to deliver top tier quality solutions to the end-user. A Day In The Life Develop and execute detailed test plans and validation procedures on complex industrial-grade products. Execute test cases for industrial products which are heavy on Networking and Ethernet-technologies, Perform system-level testing to validate new software/firmware builds, release candidates.
