Founding Software Engineer New York City, New York, United States About Hazel Hazel is the AI coworker for consumer brands. We connect to a brand's live data - Shopify, Klaviyo, Amazon, Meta, and dozens of others - and turn it into a teammate operators talk to every day. Today, Hazel is unrivaled at research and analysis: ask "why did repeat purchase rate drop last week?" and 30 seconds later you get an answer, cited from live data. Next on the roadmap: Hazel takes action herself - proactively flagging issues, then making changes directly in Shopify and other systems she connects to. The end state: she runs full playbooks autonomously. We're 3 people, venture-backed, managing a long runway while rapidly scaling. In the last year, brands on Hazel did over $1B in revenue. Customers include Bogg Bag and OneSkin. We're hiring engineer #2 to join the founding team. What you'll work on In your first 60 days, you'll be in the middle of building the action layer - Hazel's first writes back into the systems she connects to. Think: creating product bundles in Shopify, launching A/B tests in Klaviyo, and the human-in-the-loop scaffolding that makes all of it safe.
