About this role

Director of Land Development - Houston - Green Brick Partners Houston, TX, US Overview The Land Development Manager must believe in, practice and initiate all Green Brick Partners values set forth in an acronym we call HOME. They must be Honest, Objective, Mature and Efficient in how he or she approaches their role at Green Brick Partners. Overall responsibility would be for managing Houston single family residential land development, including the delivery of finished residential lots to our corporate builder brands and third-party builders. Responsibilities Coordinates all on-site and off-site designs with municipal agencies, third party consultants including civil engineers, surveyors, landscape architects, geotechnical engineers, and legal (or other consultants that may be part of the land development process) to meet budget and schedule metrics. Performs all aspects of land development contract process, including preparing and reviewing scopes of work, invitations to bid, bid lists, accurate takeoffs, bid negotiation, awarding of contract and management of change orders. Evaluates cost estimates and works with third party design consultants towards best value designs. Initiates, monitors, and maintains all land development budgets including coordination with land accounting team to monitor and correct errors/inaccurate information, which includes monthly budget review process. Reviews and approves all change orders, invoices, and addendums. Manages special district (i.e. MUD, PID, other) agreements, meetings and coordination. Coordinates franchise
