Staff Hardware System Engineer, Home and Health New Taipei, Banqiao District, New Taipei City, Taiwan Be part of a team that pushes boundaries, developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products. You'll contribute to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide. Your expertise will shape the next generation of hardware experiences, delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration. System Engineering drives holistic product hardware design and integration in response to product definition coordinating closely with cross-functional stakeholders while meeting schedule, cost, feature, quality and performance requirements. In this role, your expertise in electrical design will be paired with the accountability for a product's journey from initial concept to full-scale mass production. You will operate within the Joint Design Manufacturing (JDM) model, you will take on expanded responsibilities, including leading concept proposals and evaluating product definitions. You will also be responsible for crafting the Engineering Requirement Specification (ERS), a critical document that defines high-quality benchmarks, stringent performance standards, and the overall criteria for the product's commercial success. The Google Home team focuses on hardware, software and services offerings for the home, ranging from thermostats to smart displays. The Home team researches, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users' homes more helpful.
