About this role

Intellectual Property Paralegal US OH Akron Corp Hdqtrs As an Intellectual Property Paralegal, you will play a key part in supporting the company's global intellectual property portfolio by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant patent and trademark docketing activities. You will manage critical communications, maintain essential IP records, and oversee systems that support operational integrity. Working closely with Legal and cross‑functional teams, you will help uphold high standards of data accuracy, process efficiency, and procedural consistency. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail‑driven environment and enjoys contributing to the protection and stewardship of valuable IP assets. What You'll Do Manage U.S. and foreign patent and trademark correspondence and communications, open new trademark matters, and proof routine docketing work completed by others. Maintain the reference library within the Intellectual Property (IP) Management System. Oversee the Anaqua Services questions portal, update patent and trademark records, and perform data‑integrity checks. Review U.S. and foreign patent docketing reports, respond to inquiries, provide non‑patent literature, and attend biweekly SOP review calls. Docket patent communications that fall outside the scope of Anaqua docketing and timely abandon patent matters following annuity committee decisions. Assist with administrative projects related to patent records, trademark records, records management, and other IP docketing tasks as needed.
