Area Manager - 2nd Shift US OH Akron ICM Plt 0993 Be part of the Innovation Center Manufacturing team as an Area Manager (2nd Shift), producing high-performance tires for Goodyear Racing. In this role, you will lead 25-30 production associates in a unionized environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Why This Role Matters Lead and develop a team of production associates Ensure safe and efficient production flow while maintaining quality standards Promote and enforce plant safety practices Ensure adherence to procedures, audits, and standard work Drive continuous improvement and support operational goals (safety, quality, cost, delivery) What You Will Do Lead day-to-day operations for the 2nd shift Monitor performance and ensure production targets are met Partner with cross-functional teams (Quality, Engineering, Operations) Identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and engagement What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree required 5+ years of relevant manufacturing or operations experience Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment #LI-SN1 Goodyear is one of the world's largest tire companies.
