The Accountant - Accounting & Reporting reports to the Director of Financial Reporting on the Controllership team and will be responsible for the preparation of financial reporting and filings. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional having expertise working in cross-functional teams with a continuous improvement mindset for processes and controls. LOCATION Enact Headquarters, Raleigh, NC - Hybrid Schedule YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in preparing quarterly and annual regulatory and statutory filings, including all financial statements, schedules and footnotes/disclosure schedules to the financial statements Support premium tax filings in all states and municipalities, to include creating ACH requests Complete monthly accounting close related activities, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations for premiums, losses, reinsurance and statutory adjustments Create and maintain documentation for key departmental processes Assist in preparation and filing of supplemental schedules and state and regulatory reporting forms Compile financial data from tax and investment teams to include in regulatory and statutory filings Support external auditor activities relating to statutory audits, including providing certain schedules and variance explanations and audited financial statements and related footnote disclosures thereto Work with
