Electrical Hardware Engineer – Networking & Cyber Infrastructure Position Overview Pittsfield, MA, US Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position Electrical Hardware Engineer - FPGA, Networking & Cyber Infrastructure As an Electrical Hardware Engineer specializing in FPGA, networking, and cyber infrastructure at General Dynamics Mission Systems, you will design, develop, and integrate hardware subsystems that deliver secure, high-performance networking capabilities within mission-critical defense systems. FPGA design and development is central to this role, enabling reconfigurable hardware solutions at the heart of our networking and cyber architecture. You will contribute directly to hardware architecture discussions, component selection, PCB and FPGA design, and network stack implementation, working alongside a talented multidisciplinary team from concept through final installation.
