Structural MT Grinder Entry Level & Semi-Skilled Groton, CT, US Overview Electric Boat is the premier designer and builder of nuclear powered submarines for the US Navy and we are experiencing a period of unprecedented growth! We are looking for people who want to learn and grow within our Grinder Department as we continue to build the most advanced submarines. Interested in learning a new trade? Apply today! Working with various metals and pipes to be formed within a high degree of tolerances as a Grinder uses a variety of pneumatic grinding tools to prepare a wide range of steel and alloy structures and pipe for welding and to finish welds. Grinding preparations include removal of paint, edge bevels on steel, clean jagged edges, grind welds flush and cut and bevel various diameter pipes.
