About this role

Engineer VI General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) designs and manufactures first-of-a-kind electromagnetic and electric power generation systems. GA-EMS' expanding portfolio of specialized products and integrated system solutions support critical fleet, space systems and satellites, missile defense, power and energy, and process and monitoring applications for defense, industrial, and commercial customers worldwide. GA-EMS Remote Space Sensing Systems (RS3) is redefining access to space with modular, scalable small satellite platforms and constellations. Backed by proven on-orbit performance, our small satellite solutions support defense, intelligence and civil science missions. Our team is adding a Project Engineer for satellite systems in Englewood, CO. As a member of the program leadership team, you will be responsible for the development and execution of the Integrated Master Plan, risk and opportunity management, change management, and program resource planning. The position leads cross-functional teams to resolve complex engineering problems, establish execution rhythm, and present at technical and program milestone reviews. In this role, you'll be expected to leverage your engineering expertise to lead by influence to ensure cost, schedule and technical execution. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Plan and execute engineering development efforts to meet cost, schedule, and performance commitments. - Lead cross-functional engineering teams and coordinate day-to-day task prioritization. - Manage engineering resources by defining needs and securing appropriate staffing. - Support technical leadership on product design, development, and improvement with Program Management. - Identify, assess, and manage program risks and opportunities, including cost and schedule impacts. - Monitor and manage cost, schedule, and technical scope changes, including
