About this role
Department Specialist IV General Atomics (GA), and its affiliated companies, is one of the world's leading resources for high-technology systems development ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to remotely piloted aircraft, airborne sensors, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless and laser technologies. We have an exciting opportunity for a Department Specialist to join Internal Audit and Government Compliance team. This role is located in San Diego (Torrey Pines), CA. Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of activities in support of the corporate functional areas of the internal audit, workplace investigations, labor compliance and leaves administration departments. Maintains, processes, reviews, compiles a variety of electronic and hard copy reports, records, statistics, timelines, tables, correspondence, and presentations, which may be sensitive and confidential in nature, and which requires considerable use of tact and discretion in handling. Update and maintain internal case investigation management system and related analytics. Responds to routine inquiries from employees and managers regarding a variety of data, some of which contain sensitive personnel matters, audit findings, and/or attorney client work product. Performs data analytics of a variety of pertinent information and presents findings to employees and managers. May be assigned to coordinate and work with external service providers. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Coordinates the activities of one or more functional areas or one or more project/business/technical units. - Gathers, collects, records, tracks, verifies data and information from multiple sources. - Coordinates, tracks, and reports on the progress of unit work assignments and/or projects. - Maintains, develops, and updates
