About this role
Reliability Technician Olathe, Kansas Overview We are seeking a full-time Reliability Technician at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and perform testing and/or calibration activities by reviewing schedules, operating equipment and producing accurate records. Essential Functions Operate environmental test equipment with pre-defined profiles and programs Operate basic test equipment to test and troubleshoot products per engineering guidance, including automated test equipment, multimeters, power supplies, and oscilloscopes Review test schedules to determine which requests are ready for execution Conduct basic prioritization activities and communicate outcomes to the team Perform testing by applying the appropriate level of measurement skills, equipment operation and tool utilization Understand procedures and diagnose issues as required Maintain accurate records of test conduct along with the appropriate data, pictures, media, etc Maintain and ensure the integrity of test equipment and records and gain familiarity with engineering test procedures Follow schedules and perform basic tests and/or calibrations in accordance with plans and procedures Move work and test equipment to and from work areas Lift up to 55 pounds to effectively perform the essential functions of this job description Basic Qualifications Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology OR Vocational Certificate in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field OR a minimum of 80 hours towards a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Technology or related field OR High School Diploma or GED with previous Military training OR an equivalent combination of education and experience Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude related to using tools
