Substation Mechanic I-Senior City Labadieville Job Title: Work Place Flexibility: Legal Entity: * This position can be filled as a Substation Mechanic I, II, III or Sr based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. * JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE: Working within Entergy's Safety Rules, perform routine & emergency maintenance and repairs on substation equipment. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform diagnostic testing of substation equipment; breakers, transformers, batteries, cables, etc. Perform substation switching and grounding procedures Perform construction activities of installing all substation equipment Perform inspections of substation equipment. Install, maintain, repair, operate and remove switching station and substation equipment Maintain switching stations, substation buildings, structures and grounds, including customers' installations Inspect, adjust, maintain, test, repair or replace all types of circuit breakers and gang operated disconnecting switches, batteries, power transformers, power rectifiers, and station type regulators Perform wiring and maintenance work in substations MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred: Associate's Degree (or equivalent work experience) Minimum Experience: Substation Mechanic 1.: Without Associate's Degree: 0 - 2 years of experience With Associate's Degree: 0 - 1 years of experience Substation Mechanic II: Without Associate's Degree: At least 2 - 4 years of experience With Associate's Degree: At least 1 - 3 years of
