Safety Specialist II - Sr State Arkansas | City Little Rock Job Title: Work Place Flexibility: Legal Entity: This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position and is subject to mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing **This posting can be filled as a Safety Specialist II - Safety Specialist Senior depending on qualifications. ** Job Summary/Purpose All members of Entergy's safety function will be expected to own safety, work to prevent incidents and seek to improve with the understanding that zero harm is possible. This position is tasked with examining the workplace/worksite for environmental or physical factors that could affect employee and/or contract partner health, safety, comfort, and performance. Ensuring the workplace/worksite is as safe as possible accomplished through conducting risk assessments, safety analyses, job site reviews, and coaching. The senior and lead safety specialists will be expected to show leadership and mentorship capabilities with Entergy's employees and contract partners. Supports Utility Operations in the management of developing safety trainingprograms/strategy/presentations/workshops/communications/policy/rules as needed. This is a field first role with the expectation that 80% of time is spent in the field engaged with the frontline workforce.
