Materials Management Specialist II, Sr City Hammond Job Title: Work Place Flexibility: Legal Entity: JOB SUMMARY The Supply Chain (SC) organizational model includes materials management specialists at a site(s) currently supporting Resiliency with Utility Operations and Construction. The foundational SC knowledge and skills required for the position are the same regardless of location and may expand should Command implement in Transmission. The primary difference in the material management specialist roles is the additional level of expertise in the operating processes, practices, standards, and procedures required to support material availability. The Material Management Specialist is considered an intermediate level position in this job family and responsible for all the inbound and outbound material requests. This role controls the daily workload within Command (WMS), reviews the Material Requests (MRs) from previous days picks to either complete or backorder material requests and oversees all the backorder MR's. The Material Management Specialist is responsible for the overall support of the warehousing functions related to the EDC operations. The Material Management Specialist supports the cycle counting process. The key SC interfaces for this role are Warehousing, Inventory, and Logistics local and system teams, Inventory Management, Category Management, and Central Procurement Group (CPG), and Compliance.
