Manager, Materials Procurement State Texas | City The Woodlands Job Title: Work Place Flexibility: Legal Entity: JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE This position is responsible for managing the Material Procurement operations team that supplies Entergy's Power Generation plants. The Materials Procurement operations organization is responsible for procurement and management of safety related and non-safety related material. This position serves as a lead team member of our Procurement & Supply Chain (P&SC) team and the group interfaces with all plant departments including Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Operations, Chemistry, and Project Management, Legal, Taxes, Compliance & others, supporting work management, outage and on-line planning preparation and execution of work. The manager position is key in providing governance and oversight of all aspects of the materials procurement processes supporting the organization to improve plant performance and equipment reliability ensuring compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements. This position manages multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities and ensures the organization has a culture of being proactively engaged, anticipating material needs, solutions and improvement opportunities. The Manager, Materials Procurement reports to the Senior Manager, Strategic Procurement. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Safety/Human Performance: Ensure the Team always puts safety first.
