About this role

Engineer (Utility) II-Senior City New Orleans Posting End Date: Work Place Flexibility: Legal Entity: **This position maybe filled as an Engineer II, III or Sr. depending on the qualifications and or the experience of the candidate.** Job Summary/Purpose Act as the company liaison and technical support for Grid Technology. Project areas may include distributed energy resources (DER), distributed energy resource management system (DERMS), substation digitalization, advanced meter infrastructure (AMI), and advanced distribution management system (ADMS). The job will include working across a variety of business functions to initiate and develop projects as it relates to the technology of our utility systems. This role will also assess, create, and test new capabilities and standards of grid technology to be deployed across Power Delivery and Capital Projects. Job Duties/Responsibilities Manage and standardize distributed energy resources integration, detailing how they are utilized and communicate. Lead projects to optimize devices to SCADA solutions on distribution and transmission systems. Responsible for technical development and support of advanced distribution management system and new technology. Provide technical expertise and support to the Grid Technology team. Participate in routine, non-routine, and emergency storm and outage restoration duties.
