Distribution Specialist Sr City Jefferson Posting End Date: Work Place Flexibility: Legal Entity: ***All locations within Entergy's footprint may be considered.*** Job Summary/Purpose This position acts as a subject matter expert in a program or system role in a technical discipline among peers within a department. This position works in conjunction with other engineering disciplines as well as craft employees and is responsible for developing design / construction standards. This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position and is subject to mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing. Job Duties/Responsibilities Plan and conduct independent engineering work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Devises new approaches to solving problem. Work within a team environment to create and maintain material specifications, material standards, and process in Utility Distribution. Current opening will span the areas of overhead and underground construction as well as line equipment and control implementation. Future duties may be in other portions of the Design Basis group related to such items as transformers and other distributed energy resources, interconnection issues and engineering support. Persons in these roles are expected to: Represent Entergy as a technical expert within Industry Represents Entergy Power Delivery in Standards discussions and/or utility practices as the industry evolves.
