Senior Spot Buyer Country Romania 1. Role Purpose The Senior Spot Buyer plays a strategic and operational role in managing spot buying activities, ensuring efficient procurement of intellectual services, software, and equipment in compliance with Group agreements, procurement policies, and governance standards. The role acts as a key interface between business stakeholders, suppliers, Category Managers, and procurement teams, while also supporting process optimization, governance improvement, reporting activities, and coaching junior team members when needed. 2. Key Responsibilities Operational Procurement Activities Manage complex “Spot Buy sourcing” activities for consultants and suppliers based on Group agreements (IT, Technical Assistance, Functional Assistance). Independently handle end-to-end procurement requests with limited supervision. Process software and equipment purchase requests while ensuring compliance with procurement governance and contractual rules. Support high-volume and time-sensitive procurement activities, including renewal campaigns (GBS IT / ENGIE DIGITAL / GEMS & E&C). Stakeholder & Supplier Management Act as a trusted partner for internal stakeholders and provide advisory support on procurement processes, supplier selection, and VMS usage. Manage interactions with suppliers and resolve escalations or complex operational issues. Coordinate with Category Managers, Global Buyers, Legal, Finance, and operational teams when required.
