Ops, Maintenance Tech 2_PTOM1C Country United States What You Can Expect As Operations & Maintenance Technician II, in Decatur, AL, you will be responsible for the safe and reliable start-up, operation, and continuous monitoring and maintenance of packaged boilers, chillers, air compressors, and associated auxiliary balance-of-plant equipment as directed by management. This role will include performing selective maintenance on various plant equipment, while also training and qualifying into the role of Relief Operator, ultimately conducting all Central Utility Plant operations in support of senior shift operators. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager, with dotted-line supervision from the Maintenance Manager. You will: Collaborate and have a team-minded attitude, suited for an environment where adaptability and cross-training equip members to contribute to the success of the operation Perform preventive, predictive, and repair maintenance work tasks on plant equipment; diagnosing equipment problems, reporting abnormal conditions to management, and preparing detailed work requests for plant improvements Deliver detailed and accurate monitoring of processes and equipment, including conducting scheduled plant audits, water chemistry testing, and preparation of shift logs, work orders, and Health Safety & Environmental reports What You'll Bring A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent Three (3) years of relevant experience and/or training; licenses, endorsements; or an equivalent combination of education
