As an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician II supporting the University of Iowa campus, you'll work across a campus-wide utility system, supporting steam, chilled water, and power operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to build hands-on expertise across meters, controls, PLCs, and distribution systems - all in one environment. No two days look the same. You'll troubleshoot complex systems, support critical infrastructure, and expand your technical skillset in a team that puts safety first. What You'll Do Maintain and install electrical, instrumentation, and control systems across campus utility plants and distribution networks Support and troubleshoot steam metering systems and controls infrastructure Work with PLCs - including troubleshooting, configuration, and implementation (hardware, software, and firmware) Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and utility system drawings Support industrial networking and metering communications systems, including switch configuration Perform a mix of planned upgrades, system improvements, and real-time troubleshooting Identify root causes of system issues and recommend improvements Participate in an on-call rotation (1-hour onsite response required) What You'll Bring This role requires a minimum educational level of a High School Diploma or GED, plus four (4) ye
