Senior Analyst, Accounting Mont Royal Job Summary Join a dynamic team where your accounting expertise meets operational impact! Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting, the Senior Accounting Analyst will not only play a key role in the financial close process by delivering accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis but also optimize our accounting processes for non-current assets - driving efficiency and cost control across the organization. Key Accountabilities Financial reporting & analysis • Prepare monthly journal entries and assist in completing financial close activities, including judgmental/complex accruals and reclassification entries; • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy and completeness of account balances; • Analyze monthly variances and provide insights on financial results; • Prepare supporting schedules and analysis for financial statement note disclosures; • Prepare internal financial statements for management. Strategic initiatives • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and accuracy; • Support ad hoc financial analyses for vendors, cost centers, and special projects; • Actively participate in the annual budget process including, analyze PL accounts and collaborate with other departments to gather and validate data inputs; Review of non-current assets processes • Lead the review of accounting treatment for IFRS 16 - Leases; • Prepare monthly reconciliations for IFRS 16 accounting and movement schedules; • Actively participat
