Staff Fullstack Engineer Hybrid | New York | San Francisco Role overview: We're looking for a Staff fullstack engineer to set technical direction for Dispatch's platform. You'll own the highest-leverage architecture decisions, ship the systems behind our hardest problems, and force-multiply multiple engineering teams. This is a senior IC role - no direct reports - reporting to an Engineering Manager. Where you'll make an impact: - Lead the architecture for our hardest cross-cutting platform decisions - service boundaries, data models, sync semantics, and integration patterns - and make them defensibly, in writing and in conversation with the engineers who will live with them. - Ship the highest-complexity systems end-to-end - data orchestration, sync, custodian integrations, and customer-facing apps. You stay hands-on in production code. - Raise the technical bar across the engineering org on system design, code quality, and observability. Engineers across teams seek your review because it sharpens their work. - Partner with Product, Design, and engineering leadership to shape the roadmap - surfacing trade-offs, sequencing decisions, and risks the plan depends on. - Mentor and uplevel senior engineers without managing them.
