Social Media Manager San Francisco Bay Area Discord is used by over 200 million people every month for many different reasons, but there's one thing that nearly everyone does on our platform: play video games. Over 90% of our users play games, spending a combined 1.5 billion hours playing thousands of unique titles on Discord each month. Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming. We are focused on making it easier and more fun for people to talk and hang out before, during, and after playing games. Discord's Social team sits at the intersection of culture, community, and product - and we're looking for a social-savvy storyteller to help bring the Discord brand to life across our owned channels. On any given day, you might be drafting copy for an upcoming product launch, collaborating with our creative team on platform-native assets, diving into performance data to shape our next campaign strategy, or staying ahead of the latest trends to keep Discord's voice feeling fresh and relevant. If you love the craft of social and want to make an impact at scale, this role is for you. This role reports to the Senior Social Media Manager. What You'll Be Doing - Own and lead the day-to-day operations of Discord's social content calendar, including copywriting, asset coordination, scheduling, and posting to @discord owned channels with minimal error - Develop and execute social media activations to support product launches, GTMs, and broader business goals - with a strong point
