Staff Psychologist (Suicide Prevention) Albuquerque, New Mexico Summary This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Duties The Behavioral Health Care Line (BHCL) at New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS) is one of the largest clinical care lines within the Southwest Region Veterans Integrated Service Network. The BHCL provides medical and mental health services to Veterans state-wide and the VA catchment area of SW Colorado. The BHCL is organized into an acute inpatient psychiatry unit, residential care programs, and eight outpatient treatment programs. The facility is located on a beautiful and well maintained campus in Albuquerque in view of the Sandia Mountains and the nearby Sandia National Laboratories. It is an affiliated training site for the University of New Mexico Campus and Medical School.
