Senior Social Worker (HUD-VASH) Tacoma, Washington Summary This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Functions The senior social worker provides leadership, direction, orientation, coaching, in-service training, staff development, and continuing education programs for assigned social work staff. They serve on committees, work groups, and task forces at the facility, VISN and national level, or in the community as deemed appropriate by the supervisor, Social Work Executive or Chief of Social Work Services. Provide clinical case management to Veterans and families in the HUD-VASH program. Case management is defined as the provision of services by VA clinical staff to homeless Veterans and includes all activities to provide appropriate treatment and maintain Veterans in stable housing. Accept referrals for screening and admission to HUD-VASH. Referrals may be received from the local Continuum of Care (CoC), local coordinated entry systems, community partners, other VA programs or locations, the National Call Center for Homeless Veterans (NCCHV), or other sources.
