Primary Care Physician-Fee Basis Sebring, Florida Summary Note: The utilization of Fee Basis appointments is centered on the service needs rather than a specified tour of duty. The Sebring Community Based Outpatient Clinic is seeking a Fee Basis Physician in Primary Care. The candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive patient histories, examinations, diagnoses, and treatments of medical conditions Duties This is an open continuous announcement that will remain open until filled. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis. Eligible applicants will be referred each week for consideration until a selection is made. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. Duties include but not limited to the following; Because short-notice; ad hoc, fee-basis work is as-needed at times, the ideal physician must be adaptable and ready to perform clinical duties that may arise on short notice. Provide comprehensive primary care to assigned or walk-in Veterans in accordance with PACT principles. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions for adult and geriatric patients. Perform and document histories, physical examinations, and assessments. Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies. Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate. Participate in daily team huddles and care planning when present acting as a member of the Patient Aligned Care Team as needed. Communicate effectively with team members about patient status and care plans. Respond to clinical duties as scheduled or requested, which may include coverage for absences, overflow, or urgent/emergent needs. Provide timely assessment and intervention for urgent walk-in or
