Podiatrist- Deputy Chief of Staff San Antonio, Texas Summary The Deputy Chief of Staff is a key member of the senior leadership team, and actively participates in the development of overall management objectives and philosophies necessary for the attainment of optimum efficiency in providing health care to South Texas Veterans Health Care Veteran population. Duties This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT & will remain open until January 17, 2027 or until positions are filled. Eligible applications received will be referred at regular intervals or as additional vacancies occur. This position is also being announced under announcement number: Physician: CAZM-12958163-26-MRA VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. The Deputy Chief of Staff is responsible for the coordination of clinical activities, clinical staff and administrative oversight. Primary duties include but are not limited to: Formulates and recommends plans for a comprehensive program of medical care. Develops the requirements of staff, facilities, equipment and supplies needed to support an integrated program, utilizing necessary reviews and controls. Appraises the effectiveness of the various medical programs in meeting the needs of patient care. Promotes the development of health care professionals through counseling, mentoring, teaching and encouraging self-assessment. Works with the Executive Leadership Team to ensure that facility programs reflect the mission and priorities of VHA and VA. Accomplishes clinical program goals consistent with available resources and participate in the allocation of facility resources and modification of programs to best meet the needs of the Veteran population.
