Physician (Psychiatrist - Float) - Recruitment/Relocation Incentive May Be Authorized, EDRP Dallas, Texas Summary A full-time staff psychiatrist position as Float Team and Interventional Team and Research Psychiatrist is available at the Dallas VA Medical Center in the VA North Texas Health Care System Mental Health Service (VANTHCS MHS) in Dallas, TX. This position is being offered with planned support from University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW). Recruitment or Relocation Incentive May be Authorized for highly qualified individual. Education Debt Reduction Program is authorized. Duties This is an Open Continuous Announcement & will remain open until May 14, 2027, or until all positions are filled. The first cut-off date is June 01, 2026. Eligible applications received after that date will be referred at regular intervals or as additional vacancies occur on an as-needed basis until positions are filled. Duties may include but are not limited to: Provides comprehensive psychiatric medical care (assessment, consultation, treatment) to patients in various areas of VANTHCS MHS. Manages individuals with a broad range of clinical problems, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder, mood, anxiety and psychotic disorders, substance use disorders and psychiatric disorders in the elderly Veteran population.
