About this role
Nurse (Intermittent Resource Pool Nurse) Coatesville, Pennsylvania Summary The Resource Pool Nurse works in Patient Care Services and is responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice and determines the appropriate delegation of tasks consistent with the nurse's obligation to provide optimal care to multiple areas of nursing. The incumbent will also seek guidance on how to improve care provided to patients and families and delegate elements of care to the appropriate individual based upon assessed needs, condition, and safety of the patient. Duties Duties include but are not limited to: Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of interdisciplinary care. Engages patients, families, and other caregivers to incorporate knowledge, values, and beliefs into care planning without judgement or discrimination. Communicates and treats the Veteran and as appropriate the Veteran's family, caregiver and/or significant other, the Veteran representatives, visitors to VA facilities, all VA staff, and other customers in a courteous, tactful, and respectful manner. Provides the Veteran's family, caregiver and/or significant other, the Veteran's representative, visitors to VA facilities, all VA staff, and other customers with consistent information according to establish policies and procedures. Handles conflict and problems in dealing with any consumer group appropriately and in a constructive manner. Assist in directing the provision of nursing education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization consultation. Demonstrates leadership in delivering and improving holistic care through collaborative strategies with others for all patient care areas included within Resource Pool assignments.
