You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (1 to 5 years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply Duties This is an Open Continuous Announcement (OCA) Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis and qualified candidates will be considered and referred as vacancies become available. The closing date is September 30th, 20206, but it may close sooner if a selection for this vacancy is made. Dentist (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon) The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon serves as a practicing dentist who performs a full range of professional dental procedures in connections with the treatment of commonly encountered dental diseases or dental health problems requiring standard corrective, restorative, or preventive measures. The 1. Make oral and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity and its adjacent tissues and structures. 2. Diagnose pathological or irregular oral conditions. 3. Accomplish admissions, work-up and performance of surgical procedures of patients presenting with illnesses, injuries, and disorders of both the functional and aesthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial regions 4. Accomplishes dental-alveolar surgical procedures, reduction of facial fractures, placement of dental implants and biopsy procedures. 5.
