Dentist - Chief of Service Ann Arbor, Michigan Summary The LTC Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center, part of the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System in Ann Arbor, MI, is seeking a Dentist to serve as the Chief of Service in the Dental department. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing clinic utilization and operations, as well as ensuring the delivery of comprehensive dental care to Veterans. Duties VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. Duties include but are not limited to: Provide leadership and delegate work to the clinical and administrative staff. Maintain the performance and morale of the clinic. Establish and Maintain open channels of communication and promptly address emerging issues. Creation and implementation of appropriate and necessary policies. Keep staff updated on trends and changes within VAAAHS, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the University of Michigan, and society that currently affect or are likely to influence Dental Service operations. Serve as a consultative resource for all inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical specialties, ensuring that veterans receive the highest quality comprehensive care. Maintain Service compliance with VHA Handbooks and Directives, VISN Policies, Medical Center Memorandum and Service Policies and Procedures pertinent to dental clinic management. Ensure Dental Service maintains compliance with accreditation standards, including IG, Joint Commission, and other applicable survey/oversight entities. Ensure Dental Service maintains compliance with Safety and Environment of Care (EOC) standards and programs.
