About this role

Director, Western Pacific Regional Airports Division El Segundo, California Summary The Airports organization provides leadership to airport owners and operators, and other key stakeholders, to ensure that U.S. airports are as safe and efficient as possible. Help shape the future of aviation by leading and supporting the safety, efficiency, sustainability, and fiscal responsibility of airports across the nation. Duties The Director, Western Pacific Regional Airports Division, provides executive leadership for implementing and ensuring compliance with national aviation transportation policy across the eight states and U.S. territories within the FAA Western Pacific Region. The Director oversees airport sponsors' adherence to the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS), Airport Safety and Certification requirements, the Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) Program, Airport Environmental Programs, and other statutory and policy mandates. This role ensures that airport sponsors meet design standards, safety requirements, and infrastructure development obligations; comply with Federal agreements tied to Federal aid; coordinate airport planning with public and private partners; preserve environmental quality in airport development; and administer the Noise Compatibility Program. The Director exercises executive oversight of subordinate Airport District Offices serving California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Marshal Island and the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands. The Director leads a workforce of approximately 73 employees, including two L-band and six K-band leaders, and holds direct accountability for managing an annual budget of roughly $400 million.
