Social Science Research Analyst (Evaluation) Multiple Locations Summary PLEASE NOTE: Based on the current hiring restrictions, selectees may be subject to additional approvals prior to an offer being extended. This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Enterprise Planning Performance, and Evaluation Division. The incumbent's responsibilities include completing program evaluations, studies, briefings, and reports to support funding requests, program changes, and performance improvement efforts. Duties The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. Support the evaluation planning process by updating the learning agenda and annual evaluation plan to identify and set priorities for evaluations. Design studies, including formulating research, evaluation, or analysis questions, project objectives, hypotheses, data collection and measurement (qualitative and quantitative) strategies, and rigorous approaches for testing hypotheses. Coordinate with and provide support and assistance on design, conduct, interpretation, and use of research/evaluation, performance management, and analyses to Fiscal Service, its business areas, Treasury, and other federal, state, and local entities. Serve as liaison with research/evaluation, policy, and practitioner experts, public sector leaders, and other stakeholders to obtain input on broad research/evaluation directions and specific projects, and to promote understanding of study findings as well as bureau issues, programs, policies, and populations.
